Ich wünsche allen Lesern ein frohes neues Jahr 2026! Ich hoffe ihr seid gut ins neue Jahr gestartet. Und ich hoffe, dass dieses Jahr für die Welt etwas positiver wird, als das Letzte.

Leider startete das Jahr schon mit schlimmen und traurigen Nachrichten aus der Schweiz. Bei einer Silvester-Party in einer Bar in Crans-Montana sind bei einem Brand 40 Menschen gestorben und 115 schwerverletzt worden. Vermutlich waren es hauptsächlich junge Menschen zwischen 15 und 26 Jahren die in dieser Bar gefeiert haben. Genaue Angaben zu den Opfern und dem Brand konnte bisher nicht gemacht werden. Diese Nachricht aus der Schweiz hat mich sehr betroffen gemacht. Ich hatte vor ein paar Tagen noch zufällig Crans-Montana auf einer Karte gesehen, weil wir in diesem Sommer Urlaub im Wallis machen.

In dieser Bar muss sich das Feuer so schnell entwickelt und ausgebreitet haben, das die feiernden Menschen keine Chance hatten.

Verbot von privatem Feuerwerk in der Niederlande

Das war leider nicht die einzige Brandkatastrophe in der Silvesternacht. In Amsterdam ist die Vondelkirche abgebrannt. In Amsterdam sind aber keine Menschen zu Schaden gekommen. Die Niederlande erlebte auch sonst eine unruhige Nacht. Ab 2026 sind in den Niederlanden private Feuerwerke verboten. Die Niederländer nutzen das letzte Silvester mit Feuerwerk ausgiebig und zündeten soviel Feuerwerk wie noch nie. Dazu hatten sie vorher auch Feuerwerkskörper in Deutschland gekauft.

Es blieb aber nicht beim reinen Feuerwerk, die Stimmung kochte hoch und schlug in Gewalt um. Es wurden Polizisten mit angegriffen und Autos angezündet. In den Niederlanden und Deutschland starben auch wieder Männer wegen selbstgebauter Feuerwerkskörper.

Ich bin absolut für ein Verbot von privatem Feuerwerk. Auch deshalb, weil Männer auch dabei immer radikaler werden. Dazu kommen noch die Schäden, die durch Feuerwerk an der Umwelt entstehen. Dazu gehören die Feinstaubbelastung und der Stress für Haus- und Wildtiere, die unter dem Lärm leiden.

Ban on private fireworks in the Netherlands

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the only fire disaster on New Year’s Eve. The Vondel Church in Amsterdam burned down. Fortunately, no one was injured in Amsterdam. The Netherlands experienced a generally turbulent night. Private fireworks will be banned in the Netherlands starting in 2026. The Dutch made the most of their last New Year’s Eve with fireworks, setting off more than ever before. They had also purchased fireworks in Germany beforehand.

It didn’t stop at just fireworks, though. Tensions ran high and turned violent. Police officers were attacked and cars were set on fire. In the Netherlands and Germany, men again died as a result of homemade fireworks.

I am absolutely in favor of banning private fireworks. This is also because men are becoming increasingly radicalized in this regard. In addition, there is the environmental damage caused by fireworks. This includes particulate matter pollution and the stress on domestic and wild animals, which suffer from the noise.
